These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services and website provided by Voltaire Philanthropy Consultancy ("we", "us", or "our"). By engaging with our consultancy, using our website, or commissioning our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

 

1. Who We Are

Voltaire Philanthropy Consultancy is a UK-based boutique firm advising individuals, families, foundations, and institutions on philanthropy, social impact, corporate social responsibility (CSR), donor-advised funds (DAFs), legacy giving, and cultural partnerships.

2. Our Services

We offer a tailored suite of consultancy services including but not limited to:

  • Philanthropy strategy and governance

     

  • CSR and ESG programme development

     

  • Legacy and succession planning

     

  • Donor-advised fund structuring

     

  • Cultural and charitable giving guidance

     

  • Research, reporting, and due diligence

     

  • Stakeholder and beneficiary engagement

All services are customised and subject to separate contractual agreement.

3. Client Obligations

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate, timely, and complete information

     

  • Cooperate with reasonable requests to facilitate delivery of services

     

  • Not use our services or insights for unlawful, discriminatory, or misleading purposes

4. Fees and Payment

Fees are agreed in advance in writing and may be fixed, time-based, or project-based. Payment terms will be outlined in our engagement letter. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 14 days of issue. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at the statutory rate.

5. Confidentiality

We treat all client information as strictly confidential unless otherwise required by law or explicitly authorised in writing. This obligation survives the termination of our engagement.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, reports, materials, and strategies developed by us in the course of our work remain our intellectual property unless agreed otherwise in writing. Clients may use deliverables only for their intended purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid to us in respect of the relevant services.

8. Conflicts of Interest

We aim to avoid conflicts of interest. Where a potential conflict arises, we will disclose it promptly and take reasonable steps to manage it in accordance with professional standards.

9. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.

10. Website Use

Our website content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice. We are not responsible for third-party content or linked websites.

11. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services or website constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, legal restrictions, internet outages, or pandemics.

14. Termination

Either party may terminate a consultancy engagement with written notice, subject to any agreed notice period in the engagement letter. Fees for work completed up to the termination date remain payable.

15. No Partnership or Agency

Nothing in these Terms creates a legal partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between us and any client or website user.

16. Non-Reliance

All insights, strategies, and recommendations are provided in good faith based on available data and expertise. However, they do not constitute legal, tax, investment, or financial advice, and we cannot guarantee specific outcomes.
